design worked on helmet Premier U9
Elegant and refined design, made up of floral scrolls and embroidered weaves.
A superimpositions's play that accentuate the three-dimensional effect of the artistic composition.
Here are arabesque echoes that recall the embroidery of the typical costumes of the Thuringian women covered by the Gothic writings as if they just come out of a Hungarian proclamation or from a page of the Gutenberg Bible.
It is a decorative formula full of symbolic implications.
It seem that this composition is aware of the slow, inevitable society’s decay to which it is an interpreter: the society of the old Teutonic-Prussian empire, which now only preserves the memory of the original theocratic-institute prestige. The dream of a society entirely conforms to the reason as Goethe wanted, or to the historical mission of the future by Fichte, in one word the Bismarck’s Kulturalkampf: the cultural system that united all the forces of a nation in the industrial technology developement.
In fact subject's zenith is the third part, the one underlined by a long red band, that it ends in a patent cross: the cross of Malta Order.
This red ribbon with an hanging cross reminds us of a medal: the famous Iron Cross.
This is a reward for the reason, a praise to order and its mathematical rationality.
The cross also contains the historical answer to this splendor, at its center it appears as unveiled through the smokes of all the worn-out made by the West, a skull.
The death appears from the dark, from the depth of the night: The Night of the Long Knives.
From a compositional point of view, the helmet is symmetrically divided into three parts: two lateral, moon-crescent shaped, that it seem to follow the seams of the parietal bones of a skull, and a longitudinally middle band following the top of the object, from the visor to its large back portion.
The two lateral areas have a dark base, there is no place for the colors, these in fact have the function to be the historical background of the main subject.
